Farm Service Agency (FSA) Loans

Farm Ownership
Maximum loan amount is $2,251,000. Farm Ownership Loans offer longer terms and a variety of agricultural financing needs, including:
- Purchase a farm or ranch
- Expand an existing farm or ranch
- Purchase easements
- Construct, purchase or improve farm dwellings, service buildings, or other facilities essential to the farm operation
- Promote soil and water conservation and protection
- Loan closing costs
Farm Operation
Maximum loan amount is $2,251,000. Farm Operation Loans allow access to funds for financing the operating expenses of a farm, including:
- Costs associated with reorganizing a farm to improve profitability
- Purchases of livestock
- Purchases of farm equipment
- Farm operating expenses
- Minor improvements or repairs to buildings
- Refinancing of certain farm-related debts
- Land and water development, use, or conservation
- Loan closing and borrower training costs
