First Service Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Cassie Swafford to HR & Payroll Administrator. Swafford, a native of Conway, Arkansas, most recently served as a Mortgage Loan Assistant, helping Loan Officers and Processors with secondary market purchases and refinances. She has been with First Service Bank for nearly three years since her rehire date and brings a total of five and a half years of banking experience to her new position.
In her new role, Swafford will be responsible for processing payroll, managing employee benefits, and maintaining staff records. Having previously served as a Universal Banker and Mortgage Loan Closer, she brings a well-rounded perspective to the bank’s Human Resources department. “I’m very much a ‘yes’ girl,” said Swafford. “I love that this position allows me to help a team of over 130 employees improve their work life. It’s deeply rewarding.”
“Cassie has proven herself to be an integral part of our team through her dedication and positive attitude,” said Robin Hackett, Chief Operations Officer at First Service Bank. “We are confident that her drive to serve others, combined with her diverse banking background will enable her to thrive in HR and Payroll Administration. We look forward to seeing her continue to excel in her new position.”
A graduate of Perryville High School, Swafford attended the University of Central Arkansas for two years before beginning her career in banking. She lives in Oppelo with her husband, Billy, their black cat, Mogli, and their white and blue merle Australian Shepherd, Nala. She cites First Service Bank’s family-like culture as her favorite aspect of working at the institution. “At First Service Bank, we are so much more than a number—we are family,” noted Swafford. “It’s a never-ending cycle of love here.”
Looking ahead, Swafford is excited about supporting her fellow employees so they can continue giving back to the community. “They always say, ‘You can’t pour from an empty cup,’ and my role will be to help fill our employees’ cups so that they can keep pouring into our communities,” she explained. First Service Bank, a local and home-grown institution, remains deeply involved in Arkansas communities, focusing on quality relationships and outreach.
