GREENBRIER, ARKANSAS (date/year) – First Service Bank, the 33rd largest Arkansas based bank in the state of Arkansas, has announced a $20 million capital raise which they plan to use to fund the next years of strategic growth which includes investments in technology, training, and the community.

“We believe you have to grow your way to success, not just for our bank’s success, but for the benefit of our associates, customers and communities,” said Kenneth Barnard, CEO of First Service Bancshares. “We will do this at a manageable, well-planned, but fairly aggressive pace.”

Among the initiatives in the strategic plan is equipping the bank’s 10 locations with the most effective technology to enable staff to do their jobs more effectively and, in turn, provide superior service to customers.

“We recognize that technology is not a replacement for personal banking relationships, but rather a complement to the personal service we provide,” Barnard noted.

“As First Service Bank continues to grow, it will be a benefit for our customers,” he added. “Growth allows us to introduce new products and services that will benefit customers in numerous ways. And as we grow financially, it will allow us to lend even more money. The more we can invest in our customers, the better for the economy of our communities. It’s a win-win for everyone” said Barnard.

First Service Bank will also continue capitalize on training focused on enhancing the expertise of its executives and commercial lenders. Seven staffers have already graduated from an intensive year-long program which meets biweekly and is administered by one of the leading training centers for performance transformation in the banking industry. Several more are slated to participate in 2021.

Barnard added that First Service Bank is also committed to supporting Arkansas’ veteran community through its Operation Red, White & Brave program. “First Service Bank is a true community bank with a strong local presence,” said Barnard. “The additional capital will help us in our efforts as we remain deeply committed to investing in the economic viability of all of the communities we serve.”

First Service Bank has been in operation for nearly 60 years. It has 108 employees across 10 locations and is headquartered in Faulkner County. In addition to its Greenbrier main office, FSB has branches in Clinton, Conway, Dermott, Flippin, Little Rock, Mountain View, Shirley, and Yellville.
