GREENBRIER, ARKANSAS – First Service Bank, a full-service bank with 10 locations across Central Arkansas today announced the promotion of Tonya Smith to Assistant Branch Manager.
Smith, who previously served as Universal Banker and Loan Assistant, will now oversee day-to-day operations and maintain First Service Bank’s goal of excellent service and dedication to our customers and community.
In the two years that the McGehee, AR native has been with First Service Bank, Smith said she’s come to admire how the bank’s community-driven approach is in line with her personal values.
“Growing up in a small town you get to see all of the struggles and successes of those around you,” she observed. “At First Service Bank we truly get a chance to make a difference to names and faces that we’ve known our whole lives. Here we can connect our family and friends with the tools they need to create better life experiences. It is a joy to work within the family atmosphere of like-minded people.”
Smith has also embraced the mission of “giving back” to the community that is so entrenched in the bank’s core values.
“First Service Bank’s atmosphere of patriotism and service offers a unique opportunity for me to support and volunteer in multiple areas such as financial education and serving on community boards,” Smith said.
Smith currently makes her home in Dermott, along with her husband of 27 years. The couple has two college-aged children. Her oldest son is a recent graduate of Ozarka College in Melbourn, AR, and her youngest son is set to graduate from UARK Monticello this spring.
