Barry Hickmon has been named vice president of accounting and administration at First Service Bank.
“Barry provides great perspective to the team from a front lines and back-office approach that helps us think outside the box and challenges are goals. I am proud to call Barry a teammate and know he will excel in this role.” said Andy Grumbles, chief financial officer at First Service Bank.
Barry previously worked at First Service Bank as a bookkeeping manager and accounting/administration manager. He has eight years of banking experience, the last three at First Service Bank.
“I honestly believe we have the best group of people you could assemble to work alongside. The talented and genuine people I get to see make it an amazing work environment. I love getting to work with our teams every single day.” That’s how Barry describes working at First Service Bank.
Barry added that he is proud to work for a banking organization that has a strong impact in the communities that the financial institution serves. “First Service Bank helps people in our communities, plain and simple. Not only do we actively participate in our communities through involvement in events and sponsorships, we directly impact the lives of the people,” he said. “We safeguard their hard-earned money and offer products and services to easily manage their financial well-being.
“We make an impact on the local economy by helping people buy homes and run their businesses more successfully.”
A native of Heber Springs, Barry earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Central Arkansas. He and his wife, Lauren, have been married for 16 years. They have two children, Madilynn (9) and Charlotte (5). The family lives in Conway.
Barry said he is most excited about what the future holds at First Service. “We are ambitious in our goals and have new and exciting plans that everyone will love,” he said.
