Jessica Baltodano joins First Service Bank

Jessica Baltodano recently joined First Service Bank as an assistant bank secrecy act (BSA) officer.

“We are excited to have Jessica join our First Service Bank family, and we know that she will be a great asset to our team,” said Joyce Latham, vice president of strategic projects and planning.

Jessica previously worked as an anti-money laundering (AML) analyst at another financial institution. At First Service Bank, she will work to ensure compliance with approved policies and procedures related to BSA/AML/OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control), including data collection and analysis, monitoring and preparation of applicable reports.

“I have worked in the banking industry for almost nine years,” Jessica said. “I started my career as a teller and eventually worked my way up to retail management. After a few years, I transitioned to a role in BSA/AML.”

Jessica became interested in the banking profession at an early age. “I can recall an incident in which a family member fell victim to a fraudulent check scam. The bank staff went above and beyond to remedy an unfortunate situation,” she said. “I was able to see how beneficial it was to understand the intricacies of the financial system.

“I hope to be an asset and resource in the banking industry for First Service Bank and our customers in a similar way.”

In her role at First Service Bank, Jessica is most excited to continue to expand her knowledge and expertise to support and assist the bank and its customers.

It was First Service Bank’s commitment to local communities and veterans that drew Jessica to the financial institution. “I wanted to work for First Service Bank because of its dedication to helping the local communities it serves. As a daughter of a veteran, I also found it admirable that the ORWB Foundation is focused on offering assistance to those who have served in the military.”

Born and raised in Southern California, Jessica lives in Hot Springs with her 7-year-old son, Grayson. While her position is in the corporate office for First Service Bank (located in Greenbrier), Jessica will be officed at the bank’s Little Rock location.

First Service Bank, with its headquarters in Faulkner County, has been in operation for more than 60 years and has locations in Clinton, Conway, Dermott, Flippin, Greenbrier, Little Rock, Mountain View, Shirley and Yellville. For more information, visit firstservicebank.com.
