Thomas joins First Service Bank

Susan Thomas has been named a senior credit analyst at the Little Rock location of First Service Bank.

Susan, who previously worked as a senior credit analyst at another bank, has 17 years of experience as an analyst. At First Service, she will be responsible for commercial credit analysis and conduct cash flow analysis. She also will analyze financial statements and conduct agriculture credit analysis.

“I hope to learn new analysis systems at First Service Bank and keep up with our growing loan pipeline while learning more about our government guaranteed and agriculture lending programs,” Susan said.

A graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Susan earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She is a certified public accountant. “Banking is a perfect blend of my past education and experience from public accounting, tax accounting, auditing, private business and government lending,” she said.

Born in Little Rock, Susan lives in Little Rock, with her husband, Jon. She gives back to her community as a kitten foster parent and is the treasurer for the Friends of the Little Rock Animal Village. She is also a community relations volunteer with Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Little Rock.

Susan was inspired to make the move to First Service Bank by former co-workers as well as the financial institution’s reputation. “A number of former coworkers had made the change to First Service and their excitement and passion for the bank made me want to be a part. I was impressed by the number of promotions within the company and the growth that is planned,” she said. “Being one of Arkansas’s Best Place to Work for multiple, consecutive years does not happen by accident. After so many years in working at various banks, I thought I might be burned out; as it turns out, I just wasn’t working for the right bank. I have never seen a more perfect balance of teamwork and individual recognition.”

First Service Bank, with its headquarters in Faulkner County, has been in operation for more than 60 years and has locations in Clinton, Conway, Dermott, Flippin, Greenbrier, Little Rock, Mountain View, Shirley, Yellville, and a new location coming soon to Maumelle.
