Welcome to our extraordinary Washington, D.C. experience, proudly organized by the First Service Bank Travelers Club and sponsored by ORWB! This special journey brings together history, patriotism, and community as we treat 22 honored veterans to a complimentary exploration of our nation’s capital. Each veteran is invited to bring a guest, who will have the opportunity to join us for $2,999 per person. Throughout this guided tour, we will explore landmark sites such as the U.S. Capitol Building, reflect at the World War II Memorial, and admire the architectural splendor of the Washington National Cathedral. Guests will also have the option to delve into the intrigue of the International Spy Museum or follow in the footsteps of history during the Lincoln Assassination Walking Tour. From paying our respects at Arlington National Cemetery and exploring Mount Vernon and Old Town Alexandria to visiting the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the White House Visitor Center, and experiencing the unparalleled collections of the Smithsonian Institution, this journey is designed to inspire, honor, and connect us all through America’s storied past. Nominations are now open for the Washington DC ORWB Trip, and we encourage all eligible veterans and active service members to apply, as well as anyone wishing to nominate a qualified individual. Applications will be accepted until the end of January, after which the ORWB Board will thoroughly review all submissions. From these applications, the Board will select the 22 recipients who will embark on this special journey to our nation’s capital. Day 2 Sep 26, 2025 | Your day begins at the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center with a guided tour of this historic and storied building. Discover the celebrated history of America’s capital on a city tour. Take in views of the White House, National Mall and other monuments and museums. Pause to reflect at the poignant World War II Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and the Korean War Memorial. Tonight, join your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner.
Day 3 Sep 27, 2025 | Tour the Washington National Cathedral, which hosted state funerals, Presidential inaugural masses, and MLK’s last sermon. Decide how you want to see more of D.C. today –
Day 4 Sep 25, 2025 | Visit Arlington National Cemetery* for a narrated tour that takes you to the Tomb of the Unknowns and the Kennedy gravesites. Head to Old Town Alexandria, nestled along the Potomac, and enjoy time to stroll the cobblestone streets on your own during a break for lunch. Continue to Mount Vernon, the beloved home of George Washington. After a tour of the home, spend time wandering through the gardens and grounds before visiting the tomb of General Washington and his wife, Martha. This evening is yours to explore the district’s culinary scene.
Day 5, Sep 29, 2025 | Spend time in the White House Visitor Center and see artifacts from the White House collection. Then, uncover some of the treasures of the Smithsonian Institution with free time to visit any of the more than 10 museums surrounding the National Mall. This afternoon you can choose to live like a local and take the metro with your Tour Manager to return to the hotel. Gather in the evening for a farewell dinner commemorating the end of your historical journey.
